Marvel Preview - Captain America: Patriot #3

The folks at the House of Ideas have sent through this preview of Captain America: Patriot #3 by was of a little electronic homing pigeon named Herbert. I have to say, Breitweiser's art is a great match for the setting of this series. If I were taking an IQ test I would state "Breitweiser is to Captain America: Patriot what Cooke was to Justice League: The New Frontier". First of all, a couple of quotes which I've CUT AND PASTED from the press release, much to the chagrin of Mr Bendis. I'm sorry Mr. Bendis, please don't judge me!

“…thanks to the Mitch Breitweiser's artwork and Karl Kesel's script the book quickly took shape and made it easy to cheer on The Patriot in his quest to live up to his idol Captain America.” – Dan Iverson, IGN.com

“Wow... this was one of the best comics I've read in a while.” – Zach Freeman, ComicVine.com

“Captain America: Patriot #1 really succeeds because both the art and the writing match the 1940s setting. Karl Kesel’s dialogue crackles with the energy of an old screwball comedy, with a good ear for old-timey slang that never sounds affected, and playfully alliterative newspaper headlines.” – George Chimples, MajorSpoilers.com

As we can see in the images Bucky takes a gut shot and winds up on the operating table with the new Cap, successor to Steve Rogers, trying to find out who the would be assassin could be... (cue ominous music)
