The currently out of print Elephantmen Vol. 1 trade paperback will go back to print for a November release. It has been expanded and revised and will include the sold out issue zero, painted by LADRÖNN, and an all-new sketchbook section by Moritat and the ENGLISH & MEDIA STUDIES back matter from the single issues!
The scribes behind the issues in this epic new edition include RICHARD STARKINGS, JOE CASEY (OFFICER DOWNE, Avengers: The Origin) and JOE KELLY (I KILL GIANTS, Amazing Spider-Man). In addition to LADRÖNN, artists MORITAT (The Spirit), HENRY FLINT (Judge Dredd), TOM SCIOLI (GØDLAND), DAVID HINE (THE BULLETPROOF COFFIN, Detective Comics), and CHRIS BACHALO (Sandman, Amazing Spider-Man) all lent their pencils and pens to this collection, and BOO COOK (Judge Dredd) has provided a dazzling new cover.
ELEPHANTMEN creator, Richard Starkings is overjoyed: "Revisiting our first seven issues -- EIGHT when you count the origin issue illustrated by Ladrönn -- made me proud. We've come so far, but so much of what we set out to do four years ago is perfectly encapsulated in this first volume. Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us. That super sharp, full of intensity, scarily Machiavellian high-school girl (perhaps sociopath) promised an actress who does not hold back. Reese commits fully and with real vigour and we have seen this over and over again in roles like Legally Blonde  (the original is still so fun), Walk the line , Vanity Fair and more. Recently the critically-acclaimed and Emmy award winning TV series Big Little Lies which is sensational, as well as her role in it. In Home Again Reese has returned to the romantic comedy genre which she has championed in her career many times and sadly, to some questionable results. Today I have the pleasure of speaking to writer Tom Taylor and artist James Brouwer, creators of my favourite book of recent time , The Deep: Here be Dragons.  In case you haven't heard, The Deep: Here be Dragons is the Aurealis award winning graphic novel from Aussie duo, Tom Taylor and James Brouwer, and the patriotic streak doesn't end there.
