Marvel News - Kicking Ass Again

I sat down yesterday and read issue one of Kick Ass 2 by Mr Mark Millar and John "The Tank" Romita Jr. I honestly don't know how Millar is doing it. He is really in the zone at the moment, with Kick Ass 2, Nemesis and Superior off and running it's quite obvious that the Millarworld brutality has hit overdrive.



As would be expected Kick Ass 2 has sold out and is going back to print with a 2nd and 3rd printing. Millar is a great writer, no doubt about that. I have honestly loved a great deal of his Marvel work but you just cannot compare any of that to what he is doing right now. His creator owned titles positively ooze with the love and passion of a proud, if not manic, father. From reading his books you would expect Mr Millar to be an angry, violent Scotsman (is there any other type?), but by all accounts he is a very approachable and friendly chap.

Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us.
