There have been numerous occasions that I've been stuck in an elevator, convinced that one of the other occupants is the Devil. Mainly because it would take something otherworldly to produce such an unholy stench... All that aside, the good folks at Universal have supplied us with a trailer for the upcoming "Devil", written by M. Night Shyamalan and directed by John Erick Dowdle the film will be released in most Australian cinemas on the 2nd of December and has received a rating of M for horror themes and violence.


A supernatural thriller with M. Night Shyamalan’s (The Sixth Sense, Signs) signature touch.

Directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine, The Poughkeepsie Tapes) from a screenplay by Brian Nelson (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) and a story by Shyamalan, Devil stars Chris Messina (Julie & Julia), Logan Marshall-Green (Brooklyn’s Finest), Geoffrey Arend (500 Days of Summer), Bojana Novakovic (Drag Me to Hell), Jenny O’Hara (Mystic River), Bokeem Woodbine (The Last Sentinel) and Jacob Vargas (Death Race).

In the film, a group of people is trapped in the elevator, and one of them is the devil.

Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us.
