Welcome true believers! 2011 truly is a great year for geeks everywhere. I remember being a young pup, dreaming of the day that Spiderman, Wolverine and Captain America would grace the silverscreen. Sure, it meant that I had to sit through Ghost Rider, Elektra and both FF films to get there but AMERICA'S FINEST HERO IS HERE... soon...

For those of you that haven't been unlucky enough to meet me, I have a Cap tattoo, yeah, I'm that much of a geek. So I have a vested interest in this film. I don't want people to be asking "hey, isn't that the shield from that awful movie?". That being said, I'm feeling very confident. Judging by the trailer, it's going to be a belter! Plus, it has Hugo Weaving playing a bad guy.

Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us. That super sharp, full of intensity, scarily Machiavellian high-school girl (perhaps sociopath) promised an actress who does not hold back. Reese commits fully and with real vigour and we have seen this over and over again in roles like Legally Blonde  (the original is still so fun), Walk the line , Vanity Fair and more. Recently the critically-acclaimed and Emmy award winning TV series Big Little Lies which is sensational, as well as her role in it. In Home Again Reese has returned to the romantic comedy genre which she has championed in her career many times and sadly, to some questionable results.
