Since the announcement of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, we have been eagerly anticipating its release. A collaboration between esteemed Japanese gaming company LEVEL-5 and THE Studio Ghibli just set the scene for what is bound to be one of the most spellbinding games in recent times.

Add to that a score from long-time Studio Ghibli collaborator Joe Hisashi and you have an undeniable pedigree which is made of pure sunshine and happiness.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is an epic Japanese role-playing-game developed by the critically acclaimed Japanese development studio, LEVEL-5. The game features animations and cut-scenes that are produced and supervised by the legendary Japanese animation company, Studio Ghibli. The music in the game was composed by the world-renowned music composer Joe Hisaishi.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is the heart-warming tale of a young boy named Oliver, who embarks on a journey into another world to become a wizard in an attempt to save his mother. Along the way, Oliver makes new friends and tames many of the wonderful creatures that inhabit the world, raising them to battle other creatures on his behalf as he takes on formidable enemies.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be available for purchase at videogame retailers in Australia and New Zealand on the 31st of January 2013 and in the at the PlayStation®Store on the 1st of February 2013.

Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us. That super sharp, full of intensity, scarily Machiavellian high-school girl (perhaps sociopath) promised an actress who does not hold back. Reese commits fully and with real vigour and we have seen this over and over again in roles like Legally Blonde  (the original is still so fun), Walk the line , Vanity Fair and more. Today I have the pleasure of speaking to writer Tom Taylor and artist James Brouwer, creators of my favourite book of recent time , The Deep: Here be Dragons.  In case you haven't heard, The Deep: Here be Dragons is the Aurealis award winning graphic novel from Aussie duo, Tom Taylor and James Brouwer, and the patriotic streak doesn't end there.
