Madman Acquires Shinichiro Watanabe's SPACE DANDY

Having recently scored COWBOY BEBOP a 10 out of 10, we here at Geek of Oz are over the moon that Madman will be streaming SPACE DANDY at the same time as it airs in Japan. This is incredible news for fans of Shinichiro Watanabe but to make it an even better deal, it'll be FREE!

SERIES TO STREAM IN SIMULCAST IN AUS & NZ WITH JAPAN BROADCAST

Madman is proud to announce the acquisition of SPACE DANDY, the hotly anticipated new space comedy from director, Shinichiro Watanabe and the creative team behind COWBOY BEBOP. The series will premiere simultaneously online in Australia and New Zealand as it airs on Japanese TV, streaming on the Madman Screening Room in January, 2014.

SPACE DANDY is a dandy in space! This dreamy adventurer with a to-die-for pompadour travels across the galaxy in search of aliens no one has ever laid eyes on. Each new species he discovers earns him a hefty reward, but this dandy has to be quick on his feet because it’s first come – first served! 

Accompanied by his sidekicks, a rundown robot named QT and Meow the cat-looking space alien, Dandy bravely explores unknown worlds inhabited by a variety aliens. Join the best dressed alien hunter in all of space and time as he embarks on an adventure that ends at the edge of the universe!

SPACE DANDY will begin streaming on the Madman Screening Room in January 2014, exact date TBC.

SPACE DANDY will also release to home and further digital formats in 2015.

Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us. Today I have the pleasure of speaking to writer Tom Taylor and artist James Brouwer, creators of my favourite book of recent time , The Deep: Here be Dragons.  In case you haven't heard, The Deep: Here be Dragons is the Aurealis award winning graphic novel from Aussie duo, Tom Taylor and James Brouwer, and the patriotic streak doesn't end there.
