READ, WATCH, PLAY! EPISODE FIVE: THAT'S HOW YOU GET ANTS, MAN!

Stu and I take the helm this week and discuss what we've read, watched, and played. We also dive into some of the trailers released during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.

This is all before we watch a press screening of Ant-Man. Following that we have a post viewing review of the film. So yeah it's going to be a fAntastic episode!*

Also apologies in advance some bad language was used in excitement during this episode.

    Good show guys - i skipped the Ant man stuff as i'm seeing it tomorrow night. Good Comic con preview. I liked the live action buzz behind you, the anticipation before you went in. I'm looking forward to Batman Vs Superman. I think the film will be HUGE. There are a few points i am worried about. I get the Z.Snyder concern, yet i feel he back back to form with Man of Steel and i hope he continues with this entry to the DC universe.

Reese Witherspoon is having a moment and it’s a pleasure to see. It is so satisfying to witness that the actress who gave us the utterly original and terrifying, Tracy Flick, has still so many more surprises for us. That super sharp, full of intensity, scarily Machiavellian high-school girl (perhaps sociopath) promised an actress who does not hold back. Reese commits fully and with real vigour and we have seen this over and over again in roles like Legally Blonde  (the original is still so fun), Walk the line , Vanity Fair and more. Interview - The Deep creators, Tom Taylor & James Brouwer

Today I have the pleasure of speaking to writer Tom Taylor and artist James Brouwer, creators of my favourite book of recent time , The Deep: Here be Dragons.  In case you haven't heard, The Deep: Here be Dragons is the Aurealis award winning graphic novel from Aussie duo, Tom Taylor and James Brouwer, and the patriotic streak doesn't end there. This book is beautifully presented by the good folks at the independent Aussie comics company, Gestalt.
